Limkokwing University buka puasa treat for the media



The Limkokwing University of Creative Technology threw a buka puasa treat for members of the media on Friday 26th August, 2011 at the ballroom of Kuala Lumpur Hilton.

More than 80 media representatives attended the event which was in appreciation of the media cooperation and covering of the news it has given to the university.

The guests were in a jovial mood and clearly enjoyed themselves with the sumptuous food and entertainment of lively songs provided by budding student singers from the university’s Sound and Music Design Academy.

Chloe Chen Tien Nee is Miss Malaysia World 2011



A 21-year-old University of Nottingham business graduate from Kuala Lumpur Chloe Chen Tien Nee beat off the challenge by 24 other contestants to win the most coveted beauty title of Miss Malaysia World 2011 on Saturday night 20th August at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre in Petaling Jaya.

Chloe received the biggest prize money of RM200,000 cash offered by the pageant. She will go on to represent the country to compete in the Miss World Pageant Finals in London on  the 6th of November 2011.

Tickets to the dinner show were sold at price of RM10,000 per table for VIP, RM5,000 per table and RM3,000 per table. All the net proceeds will go to Hope For Children Charity Fund

Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2011 winner is Natalie Chiaw


Natalie Chiaw Mei Yan from Kuala Lumpur was crowned Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia 2011 in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday night 13th August 2011 in the Palace of the Golden Horses hotel royal ballroom.

The event saw 20 contestants from five
Southeast Asia countries vying for the coveted title and the winner gets the honour to represent her country at the Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant International World Final 2011 to be held in Hong Kong this year.

Natalie, 24, is a mass communication graduate of Kolej Damansara Utama (KDU). She is currently working as a sales person in an IT company to showcase her skills and get the experience until she finds something better.

Natalie received cash and sponsored prizes worth RM200,000 in addition to the crown and title.

Jeniifer Foh Jie Ni, 22, a free-lance model from Cameron HIghlands, Pahang was first runner-up and Gong Wen Hui, 23, a music student from Thailand was the second runner-up.

The guests were treated to cabaret dance performances a la Mariyln Monroe as well as special dance performance put up by the contestants.
 Some of the contestants also get to show off their skills in the talent show.
